Today’s media is manifestly dominated by IDIOTTSS – Ideological Intellectuals Obsessed by Their Truth and Sense of Superiority. They fail to ask the pertinent questions and portray what actually happens because their Materialistic worldview explains everything before it even happens.
The truth, however, will out because truth is what they trade in. By constantly spinning the understanding of events according to their preconceived view of the world, they must – over time – expose themselves as the purveyors of ideology and as manipulators of public perception.
The Covid spin is now obvious after more than two years – vaccinated people still get Covid; I keep meeting them …
Now this post will concern the MSM treatment of Ukraine.
But firstly, a 19th August 2022 Sky news “report” about Abortion law in England because it epitomises the callous bias of the younger generation of intellectuals in Britain – a prejudice reflecting the new religious norm …
The ‘report’ is by two young women graduates with the titles “political correspondent” and “politics producer”. Their ‘report’ assumes their materialistic worldview to be true, and manifestly deems any deviation from that truth to be horrendous heresy. Note, for example, their representation of Danny Kruger MP who, in their words,
has voiced his belief that abortions concern the welfare of another living being – the unborn
The ‘reporters’ attitude clearly manifests their jaundiced mentality: Kruger has the audacity to voice a wicked heresy and claim there is actually a life in the womb !
I find their attitude chilling…
We can all understand the trauma caused by an unwanted pregnancy. But abortion actually means destroying an unborn baby as if it were an assemblage of soul-less atoms with no Rights whatsoever.
Back to Ukraine. The normally self assured western media reports claims and counter claims from each side about the weapons being fired at Europe’s largest nuclear power plant in eastern Ukraine.
FACT: The plant is in the hands of the Russians. Pertinent questions – Why would the Russians be shelling themselves ? Why would they want to give up such a strategic asset ?
But facts and pertinent questions are beyond people who already know all the answers because they have total moral rectitude on their side.
Yet reality creeps in. Reports that the Ukrainians are not so innocent themselves – note Amnesty International’s recent report now damned by the West’s MSM. Reports of western arms being passed via extremely dubious organisations to get to Ukrainian forces. Reports that President Zelensky of Ukraine keeps sacking senior officials; reports that Zelensky has outlawed pretty much all opposition – notice that when Russia condemns opposition, it’s the work of an evil tyrant deceiving the Russian people.
Then there is woke wishful thinking that economic sanctions will bring Russia to its knees – even though they didn’t after 2014; even though China and India now provide alternative markets. Sanctions already hurt Europeans and the western economy, especially Germany, the motor of Europe’s economy.
The constant MSM assumption that Putin threatens Europe and the West’s way of life is another symptom of Western woke deception. The plain truth is that Putin cannot conquer Ukraine; in fact he evidently struggles to maintain control of the Russian speaking areas of eastern Ukraine.
In previous posts I have already cited the 5th February 1997 Op-Ed piece by American diplomat and Soviet Russian expert, George F Kennan.
Now another experienced American diplomat has commented on Ukraine and Russia. Henry Kissinger flags up reality in an interview for the Wall Street Journal promoting his latest book, Leadership.
Kissinger talks about the absolute necessity to recognise and to maintain a geopolitical balance of power, whatever your views of the legitimacy of the other side. Reference today, Kissinger says:
“I think that the current period has a great trouble
defining a direction,” Mr. Kissinger says. “It’s very responsive to the emotion of the moment.” Americans resist separating the idea of diplomacy from that of “personal relationships with the adversary.” They
tend to view negotiations, he tells me, in missionary rather than psychological terms, seeking to convert or condemn their interlocutors rather than to penetrate their thinking.
So then, western woke cancel-culture is now playing out in the most dangerous setting possible.
The report goes on:
Mr. Kissinger sees today’s world as verging on a dangerous disequilibrium. “We are at the edge of war with Russia and China on issues which we partly created, without any concept of how this is going
to end or what it’s supposed to lead to,” he says.
Then later:
Mr. Kissinger courted controversy earlier this year by suggesting that incautious policies on the part of the U.S. and NATO may have touched off the crisis in Ukraine. He sees no choice but to take Vladimir
Putin’s stated security concerns seriously and believes that it was a mistake for NATO to signal to Ukraine that it might eventually join the alliance: “I thought that Poland—all the traditional Western countries
that have been part of Western history—were logical members of NATO,” he says. But Ukraine, in his view, is a collection of territories once appended to Russia, which Russians see as their own, even though “some
Ukrainians” do not. Stability would be better served by its acting as a buffer between Russia and the West: “I was in favor of the full independence of Ukraine, but I thought its best role was something like Finland.”
But what then does the interviewer conclude in the face of Kissinger’s vast experience and insight ?
The moral claim posed by Ukraine’s democracy and independence—since 2014, clear majorities have favored EU and NATO membership—and the dire
fate of its people under Russian occupation fit awkwardly into Mr. Kissinger’s statecraft. If the avoidance of nuclear war is the greatest good, what is owed to small states whose only role in the global
equilibrium is to be acted upon by larger ones?
This utopian mentality is driving the West into economic catastrophe and the real risk of social breakdown. All because we must cancel a Russian bogeyman …

UPDATE at 28th August 2022
Mark Zuckerberg acknowledged Thursday that Facebook suppressed the Hunter Biden laptop story before the 2020 election based on a general request from the FBI.
The founder and CEO of Facebook said on Thursday’s episode of “The Joe Rogan Experience” that the call came shortly before the New York Post reported the computer that shed light on the shady foreign business dealings of the son of now-President Biden………..
……….
The social-media kingpin acknowledged to Mr. Rogan that Facebook then began using its algorithms to limit the story’s reach, putting it down lower in people’s NewsFeed though he defended the practice by noting that it took a “different path” from Twitter, which completely censored the Post’s reporting.
“Fewer people saw it than would’ve otherwise,” Mr. Zuckerberg told Mr. Rogan.
